Step-by-Step Instructions 1) Try to get the vehicle on to as level and firm ground as possible in a location where you can safely change the wheel.
2) Apply the hand-brake or, in an automatic vehicle, the parking break.
3) Switch off your ignition and remove the Eston Handy-Jackit from your vehicle boot. Place the spare wheel in position near the wheel to be changed.
4) Remove the wheel chocks provided from the Eston Handy-Jack it and place them at the front and rear of the other wheel on the same side as the wheel to be changed.
5) Identify the jacking points of your vehicle [from the vehicle manual] and place the jack under the relevant jacking point.
6) Plug the jack lead into the vehicle cigarette lighter and ensure the power light on the jack switch is on. [You may have to turn your ignition on.]
7) Press the switch and the jack will raise, ensure you correctly align the jack with the relevant jacking point. Once satisfied that the jack is in the correct position raise the vehicle until the wheel to be changed is off the ground.
8) Switch off your ignition [if on], remove the jack adaptor from the cigarette lighter and plug in the wrench adaptor.
9) Remove the hubcap with the tool provided, select the correct socket to fit the wheel nuts [you may also need to use the security socket provided on vehicles with alloy wheels].
10) Switch on the ignition and ensure the power light on the wrench is on.
11) Remove the wheel nuts by putting the socket on the nut and pressing the wrench switch [press left to unwind, right to tighten]. You will hear a series of noises as the wrench operates, typically a number of clicks followed by a whirring noise. Keep the button pressed until the wheel nut becomes loose. Remove all the wheel nuts, working diagonally until all have been removed.
12) Switch off the ignition and remove the wheel. Replace it with the spare wheel. Please ensure the wheel is placed correctly on the wheel hub.
13) Replace all the nuts back on the replaced wheel hub and tighten them up, working diagonally as follows.
14) Put the socket on the nut and press the wrench button to the right, you will hear a series of clicks and whirrs. You must hear 4 distinct clicks as the nut is given its final tighten.
15) When all the wheel nuts have been tightened by four distinct clicks, unplug the wrench from the cigarette lighter and replace it with the jack.
16) Lower the jack, switch your ignition off and unplug the jack. Refit your hubcap.
17) Replace the components in the Eston Handy-Jackit case - do not forget the chocks on the other wheel.
Points to note
Remember to switch the ignition on and off as per the simple instructions. Remember 4 clicks and in under 4 minutes it's done.

Troubleshooting Guide Your Eston Handy-Jackit is designed to give you many years of trouble-free use.
This jack and wrench will only work with a 12 volt DC car battery.
PLEASE NOTE:
NEVER USE FROM THE MAINS OR ANY VOLTAGE HIGHER THAN 12 VOLTS DC. If the Jack fails to operate
* Check the power indicator light is on. If not, switch your ignition on. If the light fails to come on, check your cigarette lighter is working correctly by pushing the lighter element into the socket.
* If the lighter is working but the jack power light is not, ensure you have pushed the jack adaptor into the cigarette lighter fully.
* If it still will not work, unscrew the end of the jack adaptor and replace the fuse. [Spare fuses are supplied with the kit.]
* If the cigarette lighter is not working, you can still use the Eston Handy- Jackit by connecting the adaptor supplied direct to the car battery.
* In the event that the jack fails, (which will be extremely unlikely) and the car has been raised, lower the vehicle by using the manual crank handle supplied.
* The same criteria regarding the wrench applies when trouble shooting i.e. check the cigarette lighter, check the connection, check the fuse etc.
